ALAMEDA http://www.giantsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-oshane-ximines-jersey , Calif. (AP) — The Pittsburgh Steelers were willing to trade the NFL’s most prolific wide receiver for two mid-round draft picks, assuming the Raiders could come to terms on a new contract for Antonio Brown.“When we discovered we might have a chance for his services, it changed everything,” Mayock said Wednesday after the Raiders officially added Brown as their first big move of the new league year. The Raiders dealt third- and fifth-round picks in the upcoming draft to the Steelers and gave Brown a new three-year contract worth $50.125 million, a relatively small price to pay for a player who has averaged more than 100 catches and 1,500 yards receiving per season over the last six years. The trade ended a very messy and very public divorce between Brown and the team that helped mold him from a sixth-round pick into arguably the greatest wide receiver of his generation.“Pittsburgh will always be my family,” Brown said. “Those guys gave me a chance when I was a 21-year-old kid. People listen to the things that are being said and written. At the end of the day, it’s all about how you make people feel. I think I made people feel really great and really inspired the way they watched me go to work, the way they watched me play. … I know Steeler Nation is having a bad day today, but it’s always love.”Mayock and Gruden have admired Brown from afar during their time as broadcasters, with both calling him the hardest-working practice player they have ever seen. The 30-year-old Brown was an All-Pro four straight years from 2014-17 and is the first player ever with at least 100 catches and 1,200 yards receiving in six straight seasons. His 686 catches and 9,145 yards since 2013 are the most ever for any player in a six-year span.“He’s done everything in his power to be the best he can possibly be on and off the field,” Gruden said. “His body of work is not only impressive, but fun to watch. He’s electrifying after the catch, he’s a great competitor Julian Love Jersey , he wins the 50-50 ball, he’s outstanding in short areas. You have a great imagination as a football coach when you coach a man like this. He can play split end, he can play flanker, he can play in the slot. He can return punts and sell popcorn at halftime. We’re excited about this guy.”Brown is one of several additions the Raiders have made to start the new league year. They agreed to a four-year, $66 million deal with tackle Trent Brown to bolster the line and a four-year, $42 million contract with safety Lamarcus Joyner during the negotiating period.Brown, a former seventh-round pick, got the richest deal ever for an offensive lineman after helping New England win the Super Bowl after being traded from San Francisco.“What took my game to the next level was just going to an organization who believed in me,” Brown said. “A locker room full of guys who just believed in each other, pushed each other. We worked hard as a team every day. No egos. Just confidence shot through the roof. I’ve kind of felt disrespected about the trade and I wanted to prove everybody wrong.”They also added another receiver Wednesday, signing former Chargers deep threat Tyrell Williams to a four-year deal worth a reported $44 million.Williams had 41 catches for 643 yards and five touchdowns last season. He has averaged 16.3 yards per catch for his career, the fifth-highest mark among players with at least 100 catches since he entered as an undrafted free agent out of Western Oregon in 2015.The additions of Antonio Brown and Williams on the outside and a top pass blocker in Trent Brown should help quarterback Derek Carr regain the form he had when he was one of the better quarterbacks in the league in 2016 before regressing the past two years.Carr and Brown have already started working out together at a nearby park and are excited to see what they can do on the field.“It’s refreshing,” said Brown, who clashed with Ben Roethlisberger during the end of his time in Pittsburgh. “I think he’s hungry for success, hungry to turn the organization around, hungry to get on the winning side of things. I’m just hungry for the same things.”The Raiders also completed a trade that sent guard Kelechi Osemele and a sixth-round pick to the Jets for a fifth-round pick. FLORHAM PARK http://www.giantsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-darius-slayton-jersey , N.J. (AP) — Mike Maccagnan and the Jets began the final day of the NFL draft by wheeling and dealing.New York traded down twice in the fourth round Saturday before taking West Virginia tight end Trevon Wesco with the 121st pick. The Jets entered the day with the third pick of the round at No. 105, but dealt that to New Orleans for Nos. 116 and 168. They then traded the picks they got from the Saints to Tennessee for pick Nos. 121 and 157.With the fifth-round selection, New York took Minnesota linebacker Blake Cashman. The Jets picked Rutgers cornerback Blessuan Austin in the sixth round at No. 196 overall to complete their three-day haul. The Jets drafted Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams with the third overall pick Thursday night, and took Florida edge rusher Jachai Polite and USC offensive tackle Chuma Edoga in the third round Friday night. The 6-foot-3, 267-pound Wesco was used primarily as a blocking tight end in college and also profiled as a fullback and/or H-back in the NFL. He caught 26 passes for 366 yards and one touchdown last season for the Mountaineers. The Jets also currently have Chris Herndon, the team’s third-rounder last year, Eric Tomlinson, also primarily a blocking tight end, and Daniel Brown, Jordan Leggett and Neal Sterling at the position.“In college, I played tight end, I played fullback,” Wesco said during a conference call. “I would say my versatility is my strength.”Wesco began his college career at Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where he played two seasons — and had a redshirt year as a sophomore — before going to West Virginia. Statistically, Wesco didn’t put up big numbers his first two seasons with the Mountaineers but had a breakout campaign as a senior and was named to the All-Big 12 first team.“I feel good as a pass catcher Quinnen Williams Jersey ,” Wesco said, adding that he dropped only two passes last season. “I’ve always caught the ball. Since I was younger, I’ve always had the ball in my hand — playing quarterback, and I played receiver when I was younger in high school. I’m really comfortable with that. I mean, I don’t feel like I have a problem with that.”Cashman adds depth to the Jets’ linebacker corps, which already includes C.J. Mosley, Avery Williamson, Darron Lee, Jordan Jenkins, Brandon Copeland, Neville Hewitt and Frankie Luvu. The 6-1, 237-pound Cashman projects as a core special teams contributor who could potentially serve as a rotational player at linebacker. He was a walk-on at Minnesota and eventually became a starter and team captain for the Gophers. Cashman had 15 tackles for losses last season, and drew the attention of the Jets.“They were a team that reached out to me a few times between the combine and draft,” Cashman said during a conference call. “I met with them at the combine twice and then again at pro day. … I felt like it was a great fit and I couldn’t be more pumped up and ready to go.”Cashman has had three shoulder procedures since 2016, but said he’s healthy and has no issues with them.“My shoulders feel great,” he said. “Over the past year http://www.jetsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-jachai-polite-jersey , I’ve worked with a specialist and designed my training around it to make sure that my shoulders are very stable and healthy.”Austin comes to the Jets after some injury concerns in college. He had 14 pass breakups as a sophomore in 2016 while starting 11 games at cornerback and being selected as an All-Big Ten honorable mention. But he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the fourth game of his junior year, then re-injured the knee in the season opener last year.“Going through the knee injuries and having some success and being so close to the pinnacle of my career and to be constantly knocked down, it was just hard to deal with,” an emotional Austin said during a conference call. “I’ve been blessed with perseverance and having the ability to go through adversity, and that’s what got me here today.”It wasn’t immediately clear if he’ll be healthy enough to participate fully in workouts and minicamp, but Austin considers himself a “freakish athlete” and is excited to get an opportunity despite his medical hardships. The Queens, New York, native acknowledged he grew up a Giants fan — but, that was then, of course.“The switchover won’t be hard,” Austin said. “At all.”
